Diameter, Caius, Fortress Contest Intrum Debt Deal in Sweden (1)

A group of bondholders of Intrum AB has filed an appeal against the debt collector’s ongoing restructuring process in Swedish courts in their latest attempt to block the planned 58.4 billion kroner ($5.2 billion) deal.

The appellants argue that Intrum is looking to impose the refinancing it finds most appealing for itself and its shareholders upon its creditors, with the help of in-court restructuring proceedings, according to a legal filing seen by Bloomberg News.

The creditors’ group that opposes the restructuring process comprises of funds affiliated with Diameter Capital Partners, Caius Capital and Fortress Investment Group, according to the filing. ...
