Denmark’s Anti-Money Laundering Efforts Win It Higher FATF Grade

The global organization that monitors efforts to prevent money laundering has raised Denmark’s ratings after the home of Danske Bank A/S adopted new measures to stop financial crime.

The Financial Action Task Force gave Denmark higher marks for its improved compliance with five recommendations, the Financial Supervisory Authority in Copenhagen said on Tuesday. Denmark slipped for one guideline, namely its efforts to control virtual currencies, which will be addressed when a new law goes into effect in July, the FSA said.
