CVC Looks to Acquire a Private Credit Firm, FT Reports

CVC Capital Partners is looking to acquire a private credit firm to beef up its US presence, according to a Financial Times report.

The firm is also shopping for private capital groups focusing on real estate outside Europe, the FT reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

CVC’s American business has already undergone changes, with Chris Stadler, who oversaw the US activities of the private equity firm, stepping aside from this role at the start of the year to be replaced by new co-heads Lorne Somerville and Cathrin Petty.
