Credit Suisse Investment Bank a ‘Huge Boon’ for UBS, CFO Says

The acquisition of Credit Suisse has given a substantial boost to UBS Group AG’s investment bank, Chief Financial Officer Todd Tuckner said.

Adding the other bank “has been a huge boon” for the division, Tuckner said at the JPMorgan Chase & Co. financials conference on Thursday. The unit’s leaders, George Athanasopoulos and Marco Valla, attribute the stronger performance in recent quarters to bankers brought over from the former rival, Tuckner added.

“They have integrated really, really good people, in particular in the US to drive market share and growth,” Tuckner said.
