Credit-Report Revamp Targeted as Soon as Next Month by CFPB

Medical bills and other types of consumer financial data could be banned from credit reports under a regulatory proposal that may arrive as soon as next month.

Rohit Chopra, head of the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, indicated in comments Tuesday at the American Economic Liberties Project’s Anti-Monopoly Summit that that was the likely timing for when his agency might release the plan.
