Citibank Hit With Class Suit Following Late July Data Breach

Citibank NA failed to protect customers’ personal information from a data breach it reported in late July, according to a federal class suit filed in Manhattan.

Claudia Giggetts alleges that Citibank experienced a cybersecurity incident where unauthorized actors gained access to customers’ names, email addresses, account and telephone numbers, debit card information including PINs, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
