Citi Settles With Ex-MD Who Said She Refused to Mislead OCC

Citigroup Inc. reached a settlement in principle with a former managing director who accused the bank of firing her for refusing to mislead a regulator about its data governance practices.

Kathleen Martin, who joined Citi as a senior data compliance executive in 2021, sued Citi last year, claiming Chief Operating Officer Anand Selvakesari asked her to hide from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency data that would make the bank “look bad.” She was fired when she pushed back, her suit alleged.
