Chase Bank Overtime Pay Rates Are Too Low, Tellers’ Suit Says

Chase Bank fails to include performance-based bonuses when it calculates tellers’ and other customer service employees’ pay rates for overtime purposes, a new lawsuit alleges in federal court in New York.

Two Ohio bank tellers accuse JPMorgan Chase & Co. and subsidiary JPMorgan Chase Bank NA of stiffing them on some overtime thanks to the bank’s “unlawful policy” of leaving out non-discretionary bonuses from regular rate of pay calculations, according to the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
