CFPB Ordered to State Position on Consolidating Capital One Case

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will have to declare whether its lawsuit over Capital One Financial Corp.’s savings rate practices should be combined with existing consumer suits, despite the agency’s request to halt the case under Trump-appointed leadership.

“The Court recognizes that the recent change of administration has impacted the CFPB’s leadership and its work,” Judge David J.
