BofA Joins Rivals in Net-Zero Emissions Target for 2050 (3)

Bank of America Corp. pledged to achieve net-zero greenhouse-gas emissions in its financing activities, operations and supply chains by 2050, joining other banks that have made similar commitments.

The lender will disclose its financed emissions no later than 2023, and set 2030 goals for its operations and supply chains, according to a statement Thursday. Last year, Bank of America joined a growing list of banks that are part of an effort called the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials, which is developing a methodology to measure carbon emissions from loans and investments.
