Bessent Fills Out Staff Jobs; Julia Hahn to Head Communications

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is filling a number of key staff positions at the department, the agency said in a statement Tuesday.

• Julia Hahn will serve as assistant secretary for public affairs. She previously worked as deputy chief of staff for communications for GOP Senator Bill Hagerty and at the White House during the first Trump administration
• Brian Morrissey is nominated by President Donald Trump to be the Treasury’s general counsel. A partner at Sidley Austin LLP, Morrissey was deputy general counsel at the Treasury in Trump’s first term
• John York is Trump’s appointee as assistant secretary for management. ...
