BBVA Sees Sustainability as Top Investment Opportunity (Correct)

Funding sustainability may be BBVA SA’s biggest investment opportunity, as the adoption of clean energy still has a long way to go, according to the Spanish lender’s global chief for the area.

The investments underpinning net zero goals are “huge” and only 10% of the technology needed to achieve them have been deployed, Antoni Ballabriga, BBVA’s global head of sustainability intelligence and advocacy, said Wednesday at Bloomberg’s Future of Finance event in Madrid. And the push towards sustainability is “unstoppable”, he added.
