Apollo’s Jamie Caruso to Leave, Start Own Origination Platform

Apollo Global Management Inc. managing director Jamie Caruso is leaving the firm to start his own origination platform, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Caruso is set to depart at the end of February, said some of the people, all of whom requested anonymity to discuss information that’s not yet public.

An Apollo representative declined to comment, as did Caruso.

Caruso, who’s based in New York, was involved in the firm’s credit and hybrid value transactions for companies including MRO Holdings Inc. and Capital Vacations, some of the people said.
