Ally Financial Sues California Company Over Use of Ally Name

Ally Financial Inc. filed trademark infringement claims in the Eastern District of California against Ally Financial Group Inc., a California company incorporated in 2019, over the use of the Ally name.

Plaintiff Ally alleges that it notified AFG in October 2020 that “use of an ALLY-formative mark in connection with financial services amounts to trademark infringement.”
