Maria is a deputy team lead and editor for corporate news, which includes bankruptcy, banking, antitrust, insurance, and securities coverage. She joined Bloomberg Industry Group in 2022. Before that, she spent nearly a decade reporting on large, complex bankruptcy cases, including Purdue Pharma and Caesars Entertainment Operating Co., as well as Puerto Rico’s debt crisis. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Emerson College.
