Tech Groups Ramp Up Lobbying With NY Gov. Hochul on AI Measure

Tech groups are pressuring Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to reject a bill that would place the nation’s strongest public safety restrictions on artificial intelligence models to prevent catastrophic risks.

Industry organizations such as NetChoice and the American Innovators Network lobbied unsuccessfully against the measure sponsored by state Assemblymember Alex Bores (D) that cleared the legislature in June.
