Synthesia Sells Its AI Avatars to 47% of Fortune 100, CEO Says

Synthesia Ltd. said 47% of the Fortune 100 list are customers for the British startup’s computer-generated avatars.

Chief Executive Officer Victor Riparbelli unveiled the statistic at the Bloomberg Technology Summit in London on Tuesday. In June, the startup said it had more than 50,000 companies, including 35% of those in the Fortune 100.

Synthesia’s artificial intelligence software lets people easily make videos featuring realistic-looking digital replicas, primarily for training videos and other corporate uses. One new customer is Zoom Video Communications Inc., which recently began using Synthesia videos to train its employees, the company has said.
