Redactable has raised $5.5 million in seed funding led by Gradient Ventures, the company announced Thursday.
Redactable is an AI-driven web application that aims to permanently redact sensitive data from documents by auto-detecting personally identifiable information. Traditional tools for redaction hide sensitive information rather than remove it, which can lead to data being exposed.
The industry-agnostic platform was launched in July 2022 with $1.3 million in pre-seed funding, supported by investors such as Everywhere Ventures, Hustle Fund, Revelry, and Stony Lonesome Group, Redactable said.
