OpenAI Now Lets Users Call ChatGPT Using a 1-800 Number

OpenAI is giving users a new way to interact with chatbot ChatGPT: a 1-800 number.

The artificial intelligence startup said Wednesday that people in the US can call 1-800-CHATGPT (1-800-242-8478) to have one free 15-minute conversation per month with the popular chatbot. In other countries, people can message the chatbot at the same number via WhatsApp, the company said.

The new option is part of OpenAI’s goal to make AI widely accessible around the world, the company said. It also could further boost the reach of of its flagship product, which now has 300 million weekly active users.
