Oneok Talking to Tech Sector to Suss Out Future AI Power Demand

As the US braces for a flood of fresh power demand from AI, pipeline operator Oneok Inc. is talking with tech companies to figure out where they’ll build data centers.

If Oneok and others that transport natural gas to electricity plants can discern where data centers will be built, they can position themselves to add new pipelines or take advantage of excess space on existing ones to ship more fuel to the area.

“We want to know where those are. But we haven’t figured that out yet,” Oneok CEO Pierce Norton said in an interview CERAWeek by S&P Global conference ...
