OMB Seeks Input on AI’s Risks for Agency Privacy Assessments

The Biden administration is asking for public input on artificial intelligence’s privacy risks, as part of the government-wide response to the president’s 2023 executive order on AI.

In a request for information published Tuesday, the White House Office of Management and Budget said it was looking to improve the privacy impact assessments conducted by federal agencies. It asked for feedback on how to make those assessments better at mitigating privacy risks, “including those that are further exacerbated by artificial intelligence (AI) and other advances in technology and data capabilities.”
