NBA Invests in Startup Using AI to Make Scheduling Games Easier

Fastbreak AI, a firm that specializes in sports scheduling optimization, is raising $40 million in new funding as artificial intelligence services get more integrated into sports leagues around the world.

The round led by venture capital firms Greycroft and GTMfund, and joined by former athletes including football stars Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and Luke Kuechly. The NBA, along with the NHL, are taking part as well. A valuation wasn’t disclosed.
