Morgan Stanley Names Jeff McMillan the Bank’s First Head of AI

Morgan Stanley named Jeff McMillan its first head of firmwide artificial intelligence.

McMillan will help coordinate the firm’s AI strategy, partnering with its business units to find and prioritize AI opportunities, according to a memo to staff seen by Bloomberg News. A representative for the bank declined to comment.

Prior to this new role, McMillan led analytics, data and innovation organization for the bank’s wealth-management unit, according to the memo. In his new position, he’ll work closely with Mike Pizzi, head of US banks and technology; Sid Visentini, head of firm strategy; and Katy Huberty, head of global research. ...
