Meta Picks Northeast Louisiana as AI Optimized Data Center Site

Meta selected Northeast Louisiana as site for its $10 billion AI optimized data center that will be the company’s largest in the world.

  • The construction on the 4-million square foot data center in Richland Parish is expected to continue through 2030
  • Meta projects the center will support at least 500 direct new jobs
  • Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in the creation of more than 1,000 indirect jobs, for a total of more than 1,500 potential new jobs in the Northeast Region
