Mercedes Probes AI Cyber Risks From Anthropic’s Mythos

Mercedes-Benz Group AG is assessing potential cybersecurity risks linked to Anthropic PBC’s Mythos model, signaling that concerns over threats from AI bots are spreading beyond the financial sector into the industrial economy.

“We have a very good team” analysing that, Chief Technology Officer Jörg Burzer said in an interview at the China Auto Show, referring to AI software bots capable of detecting exploitable vulnerabilities in software systems. “We have to watch that and think about what we can do to educate ourselves.”
