JPMorgan’s Peng Cheng Exits as Head of Big Data, AI Strategies

Peng Cheng, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s head of big data and artificial intelligence strategies at the research unit, has left the bank after a stint of almost 14 years.

Cheng recently exited the firm as a managing director, according to person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified discussing private information. Before his departure, Cheng led a team responsible for building up alternative data and advanced statistical tools to develop cross-asset strategies.

He did not reply to messages seeking comment. A JPMorgan spokesperson declined to comment.
