Huckabee, Silverman Unite Against Meta Over AI Trained on Piracy

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and comedian Sarah Silverman joined forces in their ongoing legal battles against Meta Platforms Inc. accusing the social media giant of using pirated intellectual property to train its artificial intelligence software.

Judge Vince Chhabria granted the plaintiffs’ request to unite their two AI-related copyright infringement cases Friday after they filed a voluntary dismissal and consolidation in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The filing follows a January judgment deeming the cases related, according to the filing, after which the parties discussed consolidation as a path forward.
