Google to Sign EU AI Code, Warns of Competitiveness Risks

Google said it will sign the EU’s General Purpose AI Code of Practice but cautioned that parts of the framework could hinder AI development, deployment and competitiveness in Europe.

  • Joins US model providers and others in adopting the voluntary code

  • Says Europe could gain €1.4t annually by 2034 from AI deployment
