German AI Startup Aleph Alpha to Get Backing from Intel, SAP: HB

Intel will lead Series-B financing round with €25 million investment in the German AI-startup, as SAP will follow with around €10 million, Handelsblatt reports, citing unidentified people familiar.

• The more than €100m financing round would value Aleph Alpha, whose Luminous language model competes with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, at around €450 million
• Nvidia also participating, Handelsblatt says
• Before this, Aleph Alpha — founded by business information scientist Jonas Andrulis — had raised €28 million in venture capital
