Deloitte, the largest of the Big Four accounting and consulting firms, said Tuesday that it was launching a new artificial intelligence document handling tool on the platforms of legal software-maker Relativity.
The software solution, called NavigAite, will be available on the RelativityOne and Relativity Server. It helps clients with document summaries, personally identifiable information, and contract review, Deloitte said. It works with large language models, of which OpenAI’s ChatGPT is the best-known example, that have application program interfaces. The firm said the secure document review would “help increase review velocity and reduce human review effort.”
Like the other Big Four firms—KPMG, Ernst & Young and PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers—Deloitte is seeking growth in the burgeoning field of AI. The firm says it is training more than 120,000 professionals and investing upwards of $2 billion in technology initiatives.
Relativity Inc., based in Chicago, makes software for electronic discovery and document search, including for internal investigations. It and Deloitte have a 10-year-old strategic alliance.
