Despite the spread of enterprise AI tools and widely known security and privacy risks, corporate and government officials alike continue to turn to public-facing tools like ChatGPT.

Even one of the US’s top cybersecurity officials is not immune to the convenience of chatbots. Madhu Gottumukkala, acting director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, turned to ChatGPT for work last summer under a temporary exception from the agency’s block of the OpenAI chatbot, CISA said in a statement Wednesday.
