Barclays Shifts Top Investment Bank Executive to Lead AI Push

Barclays Plc promoted Antoinette O’Neill to group chief information officer in charge of areas including artificial intelligence strategy, according to an internal memo.

O’Neill, who is currently chief operating officer for the investment bank, will lead technology strategy and execution and will start transitioning into her new role in mid-October, Anne Marie Darling and Craig Bright, group co-chief operating officers, said in the memo seen by Bloomberg News.
