AT&T’s Stankey Sees Demand From AI Driving 30% Network Growth

AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer John Stankey said new artificial intelligence-driven services will fuel demand for the telecom giant’s network, and this week’s strong earnings from AI chipmaker Nvidia Corp. underscore the opportunity.

The workloads produced by Nvidia’s products “have to go somewhere,” Stankey said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Thursday.

“Wireless demand’s up 30% a year, and it’s not slowing down,” he added. “When you continue to get workloads coming out of AI, it’s going to continue to fuel that.”
