Alibaba Group’s international commerce unit is launching a broader suite of tools including chatbots for small-and-medium-sized businesses trying to expand overseas.
- ‘Aidge’ supports 18 languages and includes AI-powered software and agents to help smaller businesses localize content and handle customer inquiries and requests, Alibaba International says in a release Monday
- Aidge (which stands for AI for Digital and Global Entrepreneurship) chatbots have already been used in co.’s e-commerce platforms
- Note: Alibaba this year joined rivals Tencent and Baidu and startups such as Baichuan and Zhipu in developing their own ChatGPT-like services.
