AI Patent Applications Dominated by IBM, Google and Microsoft

Tech giants IBM Corp., Microsoft Corp., and Google are the biggest filers of patent applications for generative artificial intelligence, with Samsung Electronics not far behind, a report showed Monday.

“IBM is the elephant dancing in this AI boom, with 1,591 applications, a third more than Google,” according to the report from IFI Claims. Microsoft placed third, followed closely by Samsung and Intel. Adobe, Capital One, Baidu and DeepMind rounded out the top nine.
