Accenture Agrees to Buy UK’s Palantir Rival Faculty In AI Push

Accenture Plc agreed to buy Faculty, a British artificial intelligence startup that’s worked closely with the government, as part of the consultancy’s effort to recast itself as a leader in the technology.

Faculty’s Chief Executive Officer Marc Warner will become Accenture’s chief technology officer and the AI company’s staff of about 400 people will join the firm, Accenture said in a statement on Tuesday. Accenture will also offer Faculty’s Frontier product, which is designed to synthesize business data. The companies did not disclose terms for the acquisition.
