Abu Dhabi’s G42 Close to AI Compute Deal With Northern Data

Northern Data AG is nearing a deal to provide data center capacity for Abu Dhabi’s G42 as the state-backed artificial intelligence company expands in Europe, people familiar with the matter said.

Northern Data would give G42’s cloud-computing arm, Core42, access to nearly half of its 23,000 Nvidia Corp. graphics processing units, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. The terms of the deal may still change and the agreement isn’t final, they said.
