Zillow Prevails in Broker Antitrust Suit as 9th Cir. Upholds Win

Zillow Group Inc. dodged an antitrust suit alleging the digital real estate platform had an anticompetitive business arrangement with the National Association of Realtors, after a federal appeals court said a district court correctly tossed those claims.

The US District Court for the Western District of Washington was right to conclude there was no Section 1 Sherman Act agreement between NAR and Zillow based on the “no-commingling rule,” the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said in a Monday opinion.
