Creative Artists Agency asked a federal judge in Los Angeles for an injunction ending a Writers Guild boycott over its “packaging” practices, saying the union won’t settle with it on the same terms agreed to by other talent agencies.
“CAA has taken steps to be even more protective of the Guild’s asserted conflict-of-interest concerns than other talent agencies,” the injunction motion says. The union has “nonetheless” continued the boycott in “an illegitimate attempt to seize ‘power,’” according to the filing.
