VW Wins Bid to Toss $750 Million Auto Parts Monopoly Suit (1)

Volkswagen AG defeated a $750 million antitrust suit alleging the German carmaker maintains a stranglehold over suppliers of its automotive component parts.

Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Thursday adopted a magistrate judge’s report that recommended granting VW’s motion to dismiss a case brought by supplier group Prevent USA Corp. because the claims would have been better brought in Germany.
