Visa Gets Electronic Payment Monopolization Suit Dismissed Again

A federal judge for the second time dismissed a case that accused Visa Inc. of monopolizing the electronic payments market, citing lack of antitrust standing.

Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. of the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday granted Visa’s motion to dismiss an amended complaint by plaintiff MiCamp Solutions LLC, saying the Arizona provider of electronic credit and debit card services failed to allege it was a merchant with standing for injury.
