Sanofi Raided by EU in ‘Disparagement’ Antitrust Case (2)

Sanofi SArevealed it was the target of a raid by European Union antitrust regulators over suspected “anticompetitive disparagement,” in the latest crackdown on firms allegedly bad-mouthing their rivals.

The company said on Tuesday that EU regulators raided premises in France and Germany on Tuesday “in connection with an investigation into conduct in the seasonal flu vaccine space,” according to a statement.

The pharmaceutical firm added it will cooperate fully with the EU probe, which could eventually pave the way for fines as high as 10% of its annual sales if the European Commission’s suspicions, announced earlier Tuesday, are ...
