US Yanks Visa for Brazil Judge Citing Bolsonaro ‘Witch Hunt’ (1)

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced he’s revoking the visa for Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes after the high court sent police to raid the home of ex-President Jair Bolsonaro ahead of his trial on charges he attempted a coup to remain in power.

In a social media post, Rubio said that Moraes’ “allies on the court” as well as their close relatives will also have their visas revoked immediately. Moraes is presiding over the trial of Bolsonaro, who narrowly lost his 2022 reelection bid to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
