US Sanctions Brazil’s Top Judge as Bolsonaro’s Son Indicted (1)

Brazilian prosecutors filed charges against the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, an ally of Donald Trump, in a move likely to further inflame tensions just after the US stepped up its campaign against one of the country’s top justices.

The US Treasury Department sanctioned the wife of Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes under the Magnitsky Act on Monday, over her husband’s role in the prosecution of Bolsonaro.
