Ukraine Files Complaint to EU Over Gazprom Antitrust Gas Actions

Ukraine’s state-run energy firm Naftogaz Ukrainy filed a complaint to the European Commission over Gazprom PJSC, saying the Russian giant abused its dominant position in the European gas market.

The Russian producer, which last year supplied roughly a third of all gas consumed in the European Union, contributed to the energy crunch by deliberately cutting shipments despite rising demand, Naftogaz said in a statement. Gazprom has limited the ability for other companies to supply extra volumes, the Ukrainian company said.
