Uber Hit With Renewed Predatory Pricing, Monopolization Claims

Uber Technologies Inc. was hit with a renewed antitrust challenge to its business model in California federal court, even as it awaits a verdict on similar claims in Massachusetts.

Flywheel Taxi, which says it’s San Francisco’s oldest cab company, updated its monopolization lawsuit against the ridesharing giant in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The suit accuses Uber of dominating the San Francisco market by relying on its $25 billion “venture capital war chest” to weather losses while it undercuts traditional taxis with predatory prices.
