Uber Technologies Inc. must defend allegations by two taxicab operators that it gained an unlawful competitive advantage by operating its service without incurring the expense of complying with local taxi regulations, according to a March 27 decision by the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts (Boston Cab Dispatch, Inc. v. Uber Technologies Inc., 2014 BL 89025, D. Mass., 1:13-cv-10769-NMG, 3/27/14).
