Tyson, Perdue, Others Face More Chicken Conspiracy Claims

Tyson Foods Inc., Perdue Farms Inc., and several other chicken producers were hit with another suit alleging they conspired to cut production to boost prices.

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants sued a long list of companies, alleging they violated federal antitrust laws by unlawfully agreeing to curtail the supply of chicken.

Checkers alleges it purchased chicken from one or more of the defendants and was injured by the conspiracy to restrain trade.

The complaint comes one month after Hooters of America filed a similar price-fixing suit against Tyson Foods, Perdue Farms, and Pilgrim’s Pride Inc.
