Tyson Foods Escapes Poultry Waste Processing Firm’s Boycott Suit

A federal judge granted Tyson Foods Inc. its bid to end a case alleging the company illegally drove a poultry waste processing firm out of business, concluding that the plaintiff failed to show antitrust injury and lacked standing.

The Tuesday ruling closes a case brought in 2022 by plaintiff American Proteins Inc., which claimed Tyson and several units colluded with supplier-customers Wayne Farms and Koch Foods to eliminate it from the Southeast market for poultry rendering.
