Turkish Poultry Firms Negotiate Fines in Antitrust Probe

Several Turkish poultry companies are in negotiations with the country’s competition watchdog to resolve an antitrust case initiated earlier this year.

Total settlements worth a combined 1.35 billion liras ($42 million) have been negotiated so far with half of the 10 companies involved, said Birol Kule, head of the Turkish Competition Authority, in an interview last week.

That amount could rise further if more firms choose to settle, Kule told Bloomberg.
